## Amplitude review: pricing, strengths, and where it stops.

The short answer Amplitude is the deepest behavioral analytics platform at enterprise scale: funnels, retention, cohorts, and now replay, experiments, and AI agents, with unlimited seats on every plan and 2M events a month free. The paid per-event rate is not published. Its limit: event-centric to the core, with revenue context left to external joins.

Published by [AIOProductOS](https://aioproductos.com/product), the product management operating system for B2B SaaS teams. It joins customer feedback, revenue, delivery work, and code on one customer record, so teams prioritize by who is paying, not just what is loudest. Pricing

### What Amplitude costs

Read from the official pricing page on August 15, 2026. Vendors change pricing; verify against the source before budgeting.

Starting price

$0 to start (Plus tier): first 2M events/mo free, then usage-based on event volume. The paid per-event rate is not published; the page shows only an estimate calculator.

Pricing model

Usage-based on event volume: every plan includes the full platform and unlimited seats, and the bill scales with monthly events, not people. Entry is free, Plus scales to 70M events, Growth and Enterprise are quoted.

Free tier

Yes: $0 forever (not a trial), no credit card, 2M events a month with unlimited seats, plus out-of-the-box analytics, session replay, feature flags, experimentation, surveys, and AI agents with capped allowances.

Add-ons and metering

AI is bundled but metered by per-tier caps (AI Visibility prompts and AI feedback records scale by tier). The separately priced add-ons, quoted on Growth and Enterprise only, are Feature Experiment, Web Experiment, advanced Guides and Surveys, and Activation (reverse-ETL). No public dollar figures for any add-on.

Plans

- Free: $0 forever, 2M events/month, unlimited seats, no credit card. AI agents and MCP, basic analytics, 10K monthly session replays, capped AI feedback records and AI Visibility prompts.
- Plus: starts at $0; first 2M events free, then scales with volume up to 70M events. Credit card required. Custom events and formulas, 20 behavioral cohorts, alerts, heatmaps, 2-year retention.
- Growth: custom quote. Advanced behavioral exploration, currency conversion, monitoring and alerts, 20K monthly replays, SSO and project permissions.
- Enterprise: custom quote. Unlimited projects per portfolio, data access controls, unlimited monitoring, 50K monthly replays, advanced user management with RBAC.

### What Amplitude does well

Best-in-class behavioral depth at very large event volumes: funnels, retention curves, path and cohort analysis, and self-serve exploration, now bundled with replay, experimentation, flags, and surveys, with unlimited seats everywhere so the whole team can query without per-seat friction.

### Where it breaks for revenue-driven product work

Event-centric, not revenue-centric, which is exactly the seam for revenue-driven product work. Feedback records are volume-counted, never joined to contract value, so you cannot see which accounts' revenue a piece of feedback represents. Prioritization surfaces are behavioral (cohorts, retention), with no ranking by expansion, churn risk, or deal size. There is no roadmap or delivery spine, so the thread from insight to shipped feature breaks at a sync boundary. Post-ship, event adoption is visible, but tying it to realized revenue requires reverse-ETL and external BI. And the event meter taxes exactly the rich instrumentation revenue teams want: tracking more raises the bill.

The decision

### Amplitude vs AIOProductOS, on the questions that decide it

| Question | Amplitude | AIOProductOS |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Pricing shape | Event-metered; free to 2M events, paid rate unpublished, top tiers quoted | Flat by tier from $199/mo; instrument freely, the bill holds |
| What the model centers on | Events and monthly tracked users | The customer record: revenue, feedback, work, usage joined |
| Feedback weighted by contract value | Volume-counted records, no revenue join | Every note carries account plan and MRR |
| Insight to shipped feature | Crosses a sync boundary into a separate PM tool | One record from request through ship to verdict |

Choose Amplitude when

Choose Amplitude when behavioral analytics depth at scale is the job: large event volumes, sophisticated cohort exploration, and a whole org querying on unlimited seats justify the event-based contract.

Choose AIOProductOS when

Choose AIOProductOS when the analytics have to land on the account's record next to its revenue, requests, and work, and when the bill should not grow because you instrumented more. Amplitude events can feed the spine via connector where both are needed.

FAQ

### Amplitude pricing and fit, answered

**How much does Amplitude cost?**

As of August 2026, Amplitude's free plan covers 2M events a month forever with unlimited seats and no credit card. The Plus tier starts at $0 and scales with event volume up to 70M events, but the per-event paid rate is not published: the page offers only an estimate calculator. Growth and Enterprise are custom-quoted, event-based contracts.

**Does Amplitude do revenue analytics?**

It measures behavior: events, funnels, retention, and cohorts, with monetary analysis possible only where revenue is instrumented as event properties. Nothing natively joins feedback or feature adoption to account contract value, and connecting realized revenue back to shipped work requires the Activation add-on (reverse-ETL) plus external BI rather than a closed loop.

**When is Amplitude the wrong choice?**

When richer instrumentation should not raise the bill, or when the question is commercial: which paying accounts a feature retained, which requests carry the most ARR. The event meter taxes tracking depth, prices above 2M events are unpublished until a sales conversation, and the revenue join always lives in another system.

## Why AIOProductOS

- **One MCP over the whole product spine, not one tool.** 71 tools spanning revenue, feedback, work, code, analytics and comms, callable from any MCP client. Competing MCP servers expose a single product's own data; this one answers across the join, and it is listed on the official MCP registry.
- **Connected, not consolidated.** 100+ connectors land Stripe, GitHub, your feedback tool and the rest onto one shared record, so a product question is a join instead of a reconciliation. You keep the tools you already run.
- **Flat plans, not a per-head meter.** Member counts are allowances, not per-seat billing, and AI teammates are included rather than metered per credit. Compare the real number for your team with the [stack cost calculator](https://aioproductos.com/tools/saas-stack-cost-calculator).
- **Nothing is plan-gated.** Every tier ships every module. The only limits are seats and agents, so the cheapest plan is the whole product.
- **Your data stays yours.** EU or US residency chosen at signup, bring your own model key, full-org GDPR export on every tier, and we never train on your data.
- **Honest onboarding.** A 14-day runway on your own data, then a 30-day money-back guarantee. No stripped free tier and no countdown trial with a meter running.

- **Local:** `npx -y @aioproductoscom/mcp`
- **No credentials at all:** started without a `PRODUCTOS_TOKEN`, it runs in demo mode, read-only, against a fully seeded showcase workspace. Ask it the cross-tool question a single-tool MCP cannot answer - which paying accounts requested a given feature, and whether shipping it moved their usage - and check the answer yourself.
