Amplitude review: pricing, strengths, and where it stops.

Pricing
What Amplitude costs
Read from the official pricing page on August 15, 2026. Vendors change pricing; verify against the source before budgeting.
$0 to start (Plus tier): first 2M events/mo free, then usage-based on event volume. The paid per-event rate is not published; the page shows only an estimate calculator.
Usage-based on event volume: every plan includes the full platform and unlimited seats, and the bill scales with monthly events, not people. Entry is free, Plus scales to 70M events, Growth and Enterprise are quoted.
Yes: $0 forever (not a trial), no credit card, 2M events a month with unlimited seats, plus out-of-the-box analytics, session replay, feature flags, experimentation, surveys, and AI agents with capped allowances.
AI is bundled but metered by per-tier caps (AI Visibility prompts and AI feedback records scale by tier). The separately priced add-ons, quoted on Growth and Enterprise only, are Feature Experiment, Web Experiment, advanced Guides and Surveys, and Activation (reverse-ETL). No public dollar figures for any add-on.

What Amplitude does well
Best-in-class behavioral depth at very large event volumes: funnels, retention curves, path and cohort analysis, and self-serve exploration, now bundled with replay, experimentation, flags, and surveys, with unlimited seats everywhere so the whole team can query without per-seat friction.
Where it breaks for revenue-driven product work
Event-centric, not revenue-centric, which is exactly the seam for revenue-driven product work. Feedback records are volume-counted, never joined to contract value, so you cannot see which accounts' revenue a piece of feedback represents. Prioritization surfaces are behavioral (cohorts, retention), with no ranking by expansion, churn risk, or deal size. There is no roadmap or delivery spine, so the thread from insight to shipped feature breaks at a sync boundary. Post-ship, event adoption is visible, but tying it to realized revenue requires reverse-ETL and external BI. And the event meter taxes exactly the rich instrumentation revenue teams want: tracking more raises the bill.
The decision
Amplitude vs AIOProductOS, on the questions that decide it
| Question | Amplitude | AIOProductOS |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing shape | Event-metered; free to 2M events, paid rate unpublished, top tiers quoted | Flat by tier from $199/mo; instrument freely, the bill holds |
| What the model centers on | Events and monthly tracked users | The customer record: revenue, feedback, work, usage joined |
| Feedback weighted by contract value | Volume-counted records, no revenue join | Every note carries account plan and MRR |
| Insight to shipped feature | Crosses a sync boundary into a separate PM tool | One record from request through ship to verdict |
Choose Amplitude when behavioral analytics depth at scale is the job: large event volumes, sophisticated cohort exploration, and a whole org querying on unlimited seats justify the event-based contract.
Choose AIOProductOS when the analytics have to land on the account's record next to its revenue, requests, and work, and when the bill should not grow because you instrumented more. Amplitude events can feed the spine via connector where both are needed.
