Pricing

What Pendo costs

Read from the official pricing page on August 15, 2026. Vendors change pricing; verify against the source before budgeting.

Starting price

Not disclosed: every paid tier (Base, Core, Ultimate) is listed as custom pricing with a demo request. The only priced plan is the free Novus beta at $0.

Pricing model

Hybrid usage plus feature tier: the bill combines tracked monthly active users (MAUs) with the functionality tier. Per-MAU cost decreases with volume. Explicitly not per seat, not per application, not per session.

Free tier

Yes: Novus, a free beta positioned for AI-era product insights, covers 500 MAUs with analytics and in-app guides, no credit card required.

Add-ons and metering

Session replays, product discovery, sentiment/NPS surveys, and journey orchestration are separately priced add-ons on Base and Core; no public per-unit prices are disclosed for any of them.

What Pendo does well

A genuinely mature see-it-and-act-on-it loop: quantitative product analytics and no-code in-app guidance (plus replay and surveys on higher tiers) keyed to the same visitor data, so a team can observe behavior and ship onboarding walkthroughs, tooltips, and announcements without engineering work.

Where it breaks for revenue-driven product work

Pendo is architected around MAU behavioral analytics and in-app engagement, not account revenue. Feedback and usage are not connected to account-level MRR or ARR, so requests and adoption rank by active-user volume and event counts, never by retention, expansion, or deal value. The spine ends at analytics plus guides plus sentiment: customer context does not carry through delivery (insight to spec to task to ship), and nothing verifies post-ship whether a feature moved adoption and revenue for the accounts that asked. NPS captures voice but is not weighted by what each account is worth. The quote-gated MAU model also makes cost planning opaque before a sales cycle.

FAQ

Pendo pricing and fit, answered

How much does Pendo cost?

Pendo does not publish prices. As of August 2026, every paid tier (Base, Core, Ultimate) lists custom pricing behind a demo request, with the bill combining tracked monthly active users and the feature tier; per-MAU cost falls as volume grows. The only priced plan is Novus, a free beta covering 500 MAUs with analytics and in-app guides.

Is Pendo per seat?

No. Pendo's page states pricing is not per seat, not per application, and not per session: it scales with tracked monthly active users (unique visitors active in the trailing 30 days) combined with the functionality tier chosen. Multiple applications are tracked at no extra per-app cost. Seat count does not drive the bill; audience size does.

When is Pendo the wrong choice?

When budget clarity or revenue context matters. Cost is unknowable before a sales cycle, and the data model never joins usage or feedback to what an account pays, so revenue-weighted prioritization and post-ship revenue verification happen in a different system. Teams wanting published pricing and account-revenue joins are outside its shape.
